Convenient Medical Diagnostic Laboratories ("CMD Labs", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
1. Information we collect
- Identity & contact data: name, phone, email, residential address.
- Health data: tests requested, sample results, clinical notes — collected only for diagnostic purposes.
- Booking data: preferred date, time, location, and any notes you share.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited (via standard server logs).
2. How we use your information
- To schedule, perform, and deliver your diagnostic tests.
- To send your results securely via WhatsApp or email as password-protected PDFs.
- To contact you about your booking, results, or follow-up care.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed laboratory.
3. Sharing & disclosure
We never sell your data. We share information only with: (a) your referring clinician where applicable, (b) the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) we operate, and (c) regulators where required by law.
4. Storage & security
Health records are stored on encrypted, access-controlled servers. Result PDFs are delivered with password protection. Access is restricted to authorised, AHPC-licensed personnel.
5. Your rights
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete inaccurate information.
- Withdraw consent for non-clinical communications at any time.
6. Retention
We retain clinical records for the period required by Ghanaian health regulations. Marketing and analytics data is retained no longer than necessary.
